ދުނިޔޭގެ ކަނޑުތަކުގެ ދުވަސް ފާހަގަކުރުމުގެ ގޮތުން "ކަނޑުފަޅަށް ލޯ ހުޅުވަމާ"ގެ ނަމުގައި މިނިސްޓްރީ އޮފް ފިޝަރީޒް އެންޑް އޯޝަން ރިސޯސަސް އިން މައުލޫމާތު ސެޝަނެއް ކުރިއަށް ގެންގޮސްފިއެވެ.

ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގެ ޤައުމީ ޔުނިވަރސިޓީ (އެމް.އެން.ޔޫ) ގެ ސެންޓްރަލް އޮޑިޓޯރިއަމްގައި މިއަދު ހަވީރު 4:00 އިން 5:30 އަށް ކުރިއަށްގެންދިޔަ މި ސެޝަން އަމާޒުކޮށްފައިވަނީ މާލޭ ސްކޫލުތަކުގެ މެރިން ސައިންސް ކިޔަވާ ދަރިވަރުންނާއި އެ މާއްދާ ކިޔަވައިދޭ ޓީޗަރުންނަށެވެ. އެ ސެޝަންގައި 300 އެއްހާ ދަރިވަރުން ބައިވެރިވިއެވެ.

އެ ޝެޝަންގެ ފުރަތަމަ 25 މިނެޓުގައި ވަނީ، ކަނޑުފަޅުގެ އާއްމު މައުލޫމާތާ ގުޅޭ ޕްރެޒެންޓޭޝަނެއް ދީފައެވެ. އެ ޕްރެޒެންޓޭޝަން ހުށަހަޅައިދެއްވީ، މޯލްޑިވްސް މެރިން ރިސާސް އިންސްޓިއުޓް (އެމް.އެމް.އާރް.އައި) ގެ ޑެޕިއުޓީ ޑިރެކްޓަރ ޖެނެރަލް ޑރ. އަހުމަދު ރިޔާޒު ޖައުހަރީ އެވެ.

އެ ސެޝަންގައި ވަނީ ރާއްޖޭގެ ކަނޑުފަޅުގެ އާއްމު މައުލޫމާތާއި ރާއްޖޭގެ ކަނޑުފަޅާ ގުޅިފައިވާ ހަތަރު މާހައުލީ ނިޒާމާ ގުޅޭ މައުލޫމާތު ދީފައެވެ. އޭގެ ތެރޭގައި އެއް މާހައުލު އަނެއް މާހައުލާ ގުޅޭ ގޮތާއި އެކަމުން ދިވެހިންނަށް ކުރާ ފައިދާތަކުގެ މައްޗަށް ވަނީ އަލިއަޅުވާލައިފައެވެ.

އެ ސެޝަންގައި ވަނީ ކަނޑުފަޅާ ގުޅޭ ގޮތުން އެމް.އެމް.އާރް.އައި އިން ކުރިއަށްގެންދާ ދިރާސާތަކުގެ މައުލޫމާތުވެސް ހިއްސާކޮށްފައެވެ. އަދި މެރިން ސައިންސްގެ ދާއިރާއިން ރާއްޖޭގައި ހުރި ފުރުސަތުތަކަކީ ކޮބައިކަންވެސް ބައިވެރިންނަށް ކިޔައިދީފައިވެއެވެ.

ޑރ. އަހުމަދު ރިޔާޒު ޖައުހަރީގެ ޕްރެޒެންޓޭޝަނަށްފަހު، މޯލްޑިވިއަން ނެޝަނަލް ޑިފެންސް ފޯސް (އެމްއެންޑީއެފް) އާއި މިނިސްޓްރީ އޮފް ފިޝަރީޒް އެންޑް އޯޝަން ރިސޯސަސް އާއި އެމް.އެމް.އާރް. އައި އާއި އޯޝަން ވޮރިއާސް ގުޅިގެން ވަނީ ޕެނަލް ޑިސްކަޝަންއެއް ބާއްވައިފައެވެ. އެ ޕެނަލްގައި މިނިސްޓްރީގެ ފަރާތުން ބައިވެރިވެލެއްވީ، މިނިސްޓަރ އަހުމަދު ޝިޔާމް އަހުމަދެވެ. އެމް.އެން.ޑީ.އެފް ގެ ފަރާތުން ބައިވެރިވެލެއްވީ ބްރެގޭޑިއާ ޖެނެރަލް މުހައްމަދު ސަލީމެވެ. އެމްއެމްއާރްއައިގެ ފަރާތުން ބައިވެރިވެލެއްވީ ޑރ. އަހުމަދު ރިޔާޒް ޖައުހަރީއެވެ. އޯޝަން ވޮރިއާސްގެ ފަރާތުން ބައިވެލެއްވީ ޑައިވިން ދާއިރާގައި ގިނަ ދުވަހު މަސައްކަތްކޮށްފައިވާ ކޯސް ޑައިރެކްޓަރއެއް ކަމުގައިވާ ޑރ. ޝައްމާ އަބްދުލް ހަމީދެވެ.

އެ ސެޝަންގައި މިނިސްޓަރު ޝިޔާމް ވަނީ، ރާއްޖޭގެ މަސްވެރިކަމަކީ ދެހެމެހެއްޓެނިވި ގޮތެއްގައި ކުރާ މަސްވެރިކަމެއް ކަމަށާއި ނަމަވެސް ރާއްޖޭގައި ބާނާ މަހަށް ލިބެންވާ އެންމެ ރަނގަޅު އަގު ނުލިބޭކަން ފާހަގަ ކުރައްވާފައެވެ.

މީގެ އިތުރުން މިނިސްޓަރު ވަނީ ރާއްޖޭގެ ކަނޑުފަޅުތައް އަންނަން އޮތް ޖީލުތަކަށް ރައްކާތެރިކަމާއެކު ފޯރުކޮށްދިނުމަށް ކުރެވެން ހުރި ހުރިހާ ކަމެއް ކޮށްދިނުމަށް ސެޝަންގެ ބައިވެރިންގެ ކިބައިން އެދިލައްވާފައެވެ.

ޕެނަލް ޑިސްކަޝަން ނިންމާލައްވަމުން މިނިސްޓަރވަނީ ދަރިވަރުންނާއި ޓީޗަރުން ކުރެއްވި ބައެއް ސުވާލުތަކަށް ޖަވާބުދެއްވައިފައެވެ.

Dr. Riyaz Jauharee from Maldives Marine Research Institute presented an overview of the ocean, its uses, and its linkage to our livelihood. He also highlighted the importance of sustainability for the Maldives and the prospects to build a career around ocean-related activities. World Ocean Day

Minister Ahmed Shiyam,  highlighted in the panel discussion the vision of H.E. President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s to diversify our ocean sector and maximize the benefits of the blue economy. The minister also emphasized the decision to establish a separate ministry, with a mandate to focus on both fisheries and oceans, in order to emphasize the diversification of the sector.

Dr. Sham'aa Hameed from ocean warriors emphasised the urgency of putting into practice the knowledge acquired in school and maintaining a close connection to the ocean. Dr. Sham'aa reiterated that the oceans are under immediate threat from pollution, climate change, and overfishing, and urged every student to take a stand and actively combat these issues.

Brigadier Mohamed Saleem of the Maldives Coast Guard emphasized the importance of Maldivians taking pride in their history and deep connection to the ocean. He also highlighted the significance of using modern technologies to explore, monitor, and make the most of the expansive oceanic territories. Brigadier Saleem reiterated that despite the small size of the Maldives, the country possesses a strategic advantage in the Indian Ocean.

މި ތަމްރީނު ޕްރޮގްރާމްގައި، ޖަޕާނުގެ ޝިކޮކުގެ ތިން ޕްރިފެކްޗަރެއްގެ ތަފާތު އެކި ތަންތަނަށް ޒިޔާރަތްކޮށް ކަމާ ގުޅޭ ތަމްރީނާއި ތަޖްރިބާ ހޯދާފައިވެއެވެ. މި ތަމްރީނު ޕްރޮގްރާމް މައިގަނޑުގޮތެއްގައި ރާވާފައިވަނީ ކަނޑުމަހުގެ ތަފާތު ބާވަތްތަކުން ޖަޕާނުގައި ތައްޔާރުކުރާ ބާވަތްތައް ތައްޔާރުކުރާ ގޮތާއި، ބަންދުކުރާގޮތާއި އަދި މާކެޓްތަކަށް ވިއްކުމުގެ ކުރިން ކޮންމެ ބާވަތެއްވެސް ކަޑައްތުކުރާ މަރުޙަލާތަކާ ގުޅޭ މަޢުލޫމާތު ލިބިދޭ ގޮތަށެވެ. ކުދި އަދި މެދު ފަންތީގެ މަސްވެރިކަމުގެ ފާހަގަކުރެވޭ ކާމިޔާބީތައް ހޯދާފައިވާ ފަރާތްތަކުގެ ވިޔަފާރިތަކާއި އުފައްދާ އުފެއްދުންތަކުގެ މަޢުލޫމާތުވެސް ފޯރުކޮށްދީފައިވެއެވެ.

މީގެ އިތުރުން ބައެއް ފިޝަރީޒް ކޯޕަރޭޓިވް އެސޯސިއޭޝަންތަކުން ހިންގާ މަހުން ތަފާތު އަގުއެއްކުރި ބާވަތްތައް ތައްޔާރުކުރާ ތަންތަނަށްވެސް ޒިޔާރަތްކޮށް މަޢުލޫމާތު ފޯރުކޮށްދީފައިވެއެވެ. މިގޮތުން، ޖަޕާނުގެ ބައެއް ޕްރޮޑަކްޓްތައް ތައްޔާރުކުރުމުގައި ބައިވެރިން ޢަމަލީގޮތުންވެސް ޙަރަކާތްތެރިވެފައިވެއެވެ. އަދި، ކޯޕަރޭޓިވް އެސޯޝިއޭޝަންތަކުގެ އަންހެނުންގެ ގޮފިތަކުން، މަހުގެ އަގުއެއްކުރި ބާވަތްތައް ތައްޔާރުކުރުމުގެ އިތުރުން ކުރިއަށް ގެންދާ އެހެނިހެން ޙަރަކާތްތައް ހިންގާގޮތުގެ މަޢުލޫމާތު ހޯދާފައިވެއެވެ. މަހުން ތައްޔާރުކުރާ ތަފާތު ބާވަތްތައް ޢާއްމުކޮށް ވިއްކަން ހުންނަ، ރޯޑް ސްޓޭޝަންތަކުގެ ރީޓެއިލް އައުޓްލެޓްތަކަށް ޒިޔާރަތްކޮށް މަހުން ތައްޔާރުކުރާ ބާވަތްތައް އެތަނުގައި ވިއްކުމަށް ބަހައްޓާގޮތުގެ މަޢުލޫމާތުތައް ވެސް ހޯދުނެވެ.

ތަމްރީން ޕްރޮގްރާމްގެ ބައިވެރިންގެ ނަޒަރުގައި، މި ޕްރޮގްރާމަކީ އެ ފަރާތްތަކަށް، އަގުއެއްކުރި މަހާއި މަހުގެ ބާވަތްތައް ތައްޔާރުކޮށް މާރކެޓްކުރަމުން ގެންދާގޮތުގެ މަޢުލޫމާތާއި ޢަމަލީގޮތުން އެކަންކޮށް ތަޖުރިބާކުރުމަށް ލިބިގެން ދިޔަ ވަރަށް ބޭނުންތެރި ތަމްރީނު ކޯހެއް ކަމުގައި ފާހަގަކުރިއެވެ. މިފަދަ ފުރުޞަތެއް ލިބުނީތީވެ، ކޯހުގެ ބައިވެރިން، ޖައިކާއާއި މިނިސްޓްރީ އޮފް ފިޝަރީޒް އެންޑް އޯޝަން ރިސޯސަސް އަށް ޝުކުރުއަދާކުރިއެވެ. މިތަމްރީނު އެހީގައި، ތަމްރީނު ޕްރޮގްރާމްގައި ބައިވެރިވި މެންބަރުން ނިސްބަތްވާ 3 ރަށުގައި އުފައްދާ އުފެއްދުންތަކުގެ އިތުރުން، ކުރިން އުފައްދާފައި ނުވާ އައު ބާވަތްތައް ތައްޔާރުކޮށް ބާޒާރަށް ނެރުމުގެ އަޒުމްގައި ތިބިކަން ބައިވެރިން ފާހަގަކުރިއެވެ. މި ތަމްރީނުގެ ސަބަބުން މި 3 ރަށުގައި އުފައްދާ މަހުގެ އަގުއެއްކުރި ބާވަތްތައް އުފެއްދުމަށް އެކަށީގެންވާ ބޮޑު ބަދަލެއް ކުރިމަގުގައި ފެނިގެންދާނެކަމަށް އުއްމީދުކުރެވެއެވެ.

The participants of the JICA assisted ‘Capacity Building for Supporting Fishing Communities’ training programme have returned back to the Maldives after the successful completion of the program in Shikoku, Japan from the 13th to the 27th of February. This programme was carried out under the project for “Promotion of Blue Economy in the Fisheries Sector”, jointly implemented by JICA and the Government of Maldives, with the aim of further developing the fisheries sector.

After the return of the participants, the Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Resources, Ahmed Shiyam, met the participants at the Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources to offer his congratulations. The participants also took this opportunity to share their experiences and knowledge gained through the program.

Conducted in Shikoku, Japan, this training was attended by the three beneficiary islands of the Project. These three islands are R. Maduvvari, M. Dhiggaru, and F. Nilandhoo, and two participants from each of the islands were selected. Additionally, Project Manager (Deputy Director General) Adam Manik and Director Aminath Nazima from the Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources also participated in the training trip.

During this training program, the participants visited various places in three prefectures of Shikoku, Japan to gain relevant training and experience. The training program mainly planned to provide information on the different kinds of value-added products by using different types of tunas and participants learned both theory and practice. The demonstration for a variety of fishery products were from primary processing to the final product. Information on the businesses and products of those who have achieved notable success in small and medium scale fisheries were also provided.

In addition, participants also visited the sites of value-added fish processing plants operated by some fisheries cooperative associations. Thus, the participants were provided with firsthand exposure as they were involved in the preparation of some Japanese products.

Feedback from the participants highlighted the program’s immense value in enhancing their understanding of fish and fish product preparation and marketing strategies. They expressed their gratitude to JICA and the Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources for the invaluable opportunity.

Driven by their newfound knowledge, the participants are committed to pioneering the development and marketing of innovative fish products, aiming to expand beyond existing offerings in their respective islands.

The Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources anticipates that this training program will drive significant advancements in fish production with the participants’ islands and surrounding communities, fostering sustainable growth in the fisheries sector.

Participants completed the "Training Course on Improving Capacity Building for Supporting Fishing Communities" training programme in Shikoku, Japan, funded by JICA.

Minister Ahmed Shiyam had a meeting with the chairman, Mr. Li Jianhua of Dongfang Electric International Corporation, and a senior delegation to discuss the work programme for the recently signed memorandum of understanding (MOU).

The MOU aims to develop processing plants in Lh. Felivaru, Dhaalu Atoll, and Gdh. Fiyoaree. During the meeting, the minister emphasized the need for project designs that focus on innovation, automation, and green energy.

This would help in making our fishery the cleanest and greenest fishery in the world. The chairman assured the minister that Donfang Electric would prioritise the project and aim to complete it by the end of 2025.

މަސްވެރިންގެ ޤައުމީ ދަފްތަރެއް އެކުލަވާލުމުގެ މަޤުސަދަކީ މަސްވެރިންނަށް މާލީ ވަސީލަތްތަކުގެ ފައިދާ ލިބިގަތުމަށް ހުރި ހުރަސްތައް ނައްތާލައި، މަސްވެރިކަމަކީވެސް ރާއްޖޭގައި ރަސްމީކޮށް ބަލައިގަންނަ ވަޒީފާއެއްކަމުގައި ހެދުމެވެ. މިކަމަށް ތައްޔާރުކޮށްފައިވާ އޮންލައިން ޕްލެޓްފޯމުގައި ރަޖިސްޓަރީވުމުގެ ފުރުސަތު މިހާރު ވަނީ ހުޅުވާލެވިފައެވެ. މިއީ ޤައުމީ ފެންވަރެއްގައި ރާއްޖޭގައި ރަސްމީ މަސްވެރިންގެ ދަފުތަރެއް އެކުލަވާލެވޭ ފުރަތަމަ ފަހަރެވެ.

ރޭގެ ޙަފްލާގައި މަސްވެރިކަމާ ބެހޭ ވަޒީރު، އަހުމަދު ޝިޔާމް ވަނީ، މަސްވެރިންގެ ދަފްތަރާއި ގުޅިލާމެހިފައިވާ ގިނަ ކަންތައްތަކެއް ވާ ކަމަށާއި މަސްވެރިންގެ ދަފްތަރު ފުރިހަމަކުރެވުމުން މަސްވެރިންނަށް ދިމާވާ ގިނަ މައްސަލަތައް ޖުމްލަ ހައްލެއް ލިބެގެންދާނޭކަމަށް އުއްމީދު ކުރާކަމަށް ވިދާޅުވެފައެވެ. އަދި މަސްވެރިކަމުގެ ދަފްތަރެއް އެކުލަވާލުމުން، މަސްވެރިންގެ ފުރިހަމަ މަޢުލޫމާތު ދައުލަތަށް ލިބި، ދައުލަތް ދަންނަ ބަޔަކަށް މަސްވެރިން ހެދުމަށްމަގުފަހިވެގެންދާނެ ކަމަށް ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ.

ފަރުމަސްވެރިކަމުގެ ކުދި އަދި މެދު ފަންތީގެ ވިޔަފާރިތައް އިތުރަށް ތަރައްޤީކުރުމަށް މާލީ އެހީތެރިކަން ފޯރުކޮށްދިނުމަކީ ހަފުތާ 14ގެ މަގުޗާޓުގައި ހިމެނޭ މުހިއްމު ޙަރަކާތެކެވެ. މިގޮތުން ފަރުމަހުގެ އުފެއްދުންތައް އުފައްދާ ފެސިލިޓީތައް ޤާއިމްކޮށް ތަރަޤީކުރުމަށާއި ފަރުމަހުގެ މަސްވެރިކަން ކުރާ ފަރާތްތަކަށް ޚާއްސަކޮށްގެން ކުދި އައިސްޕްލާންޓްތައް ގާއިމު ކުރުމަށް ބޭނުންވާ ލޯނު އެސް.އެމް.އީ. ޑިވެލޮޕްމަންޓް ފައިނޭންސް ކޯޕަރޭޝަން އާ ގުޅިގެން ހިންގާ [ކަނޑުފަޅުނަފާ ލޯނު] ގެ ދަށުން ލިބޭނެ ލުއި ފަސޭހަގޮތްތަކެއް މިހާރު ވަނީ ފަހިވެފައެވެ. މިއީ ފަސް ޕަސެންޓު އިންޓަރެސްޓުގައި 10 އަހަރު ދުވަހުން އަދާ ކުރާ ގޮތަށް ދޫކުރުމަށް ހަމަޖެހިފައިވާ ލޯން ސްކީމެކެވެ. މި ލޯނަށް އޮންލައިންކޮށް އެދި ހުށަހެޅުމުގެ ފުރުސަތު މިފެށޭ ހަފުތާގެ ތެރޭގައި ހުޅުވާލެވޭނެއެވެ.

އެސް.ޑީ.އެފް.ސީ ގެ މެނޭޖިންގ ޑިރެކްޓަރ އަލްފާޟިލާ ޢައިޝަތު ފިފްޝީން ޢަލީ ފާހަގަކުރެވިގޮތުގައި، ފަރު މަހުގެ މަސްވެރިކަމުގައި ހަރަކާތްތެރިވާ ވިޔަފާރިތަކަށް ދިމާވެފައިވާ ގޮންޖެހުންތަކަށް ހައްލު ހޯދައިދިނުމަށާއި ފަރުމަސްވެރިކަން ފުޅާކުރުމަށް ފުރުޞަތު ފަހިކޮށްދިނުމުގެގޮތުން އާ ޕޮރްޑަކްޓުތަކެއް ފަރުމާކޮށް ތަޢާރަފު ކުރުމަކީ މި މަސްވެރިކަމުގެ ސިނާޢަތަށް ލިބިގެންދާނެ ކުރިއެރުމެކެވެ.

In alignment with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s 100-day “Hafuthaa 14” roadmap, a significant milestone was reached with the inauguration of the National Registry of Fishermen and unveiling financing options for reef fishers and small iceplants in Sh. Komandoo on the 16th of February 2024. The ceremony was inaugurated by the Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Resources, His Excellency Ahmed Shiyam, and was attended by SME Development and Finance Corporation (SDFC)’s Managing Director, Ms, Aishath Fifsheen Ali, Vice President of the Komandoo Island Counil, Mr. Adam Abdulla, heads of institutions of Komandoo, fishermen of the atoll, and senior officials of other government agencies.

The National Registry of Fishermen is an important step towards recognising the status of fishing as a legitimate profession in the Maldives, thus removing barriers that hinder fishermen from having access to crucial financial resources. The fishermen across the nation now have the opportunity to register on the online platform and marks the first ever national level registry for fishermen in the Maldives.

During his address in the ceremony, Minister Ahmed Shiyam emphasized that there are many issues that are related to the lack of a registry, and he hoped that the completion of the fishermen’s registry would provide a comprehensive solution to many of the problems faced by the fishermen. The Minister also highlighted the significance of compiling detailed information about the fishermen operating in the Maldives and ensuring their formal recognition at the state level.

Providing financial assistance to further develop small and medium businesses in reef fisheries is an important activity in the “Hafuthaa 14” roadmap. Loans for the establishment and development of fish production facilities and small ice plants for reef fishermen will be provided to SMEs. These loans, in collaboration with SDFC, are available at a five percent interest rate over a ten-year period. The opportunity to apply online for the loan will be opened this week.

SDFC Managing Director Ms. Aishath Fifsheen Ali stated that the design and introduction of new products are tailored to address the challenges faced by the businesses involved in reef fishery and to facilitate sector expansion.

މިމަހުގެ 13 އިން 17 މޭ އަށް ތައިލެންޑްގައި ބޭއްވުނު އިންޑިއަން އޯޝަން ޓޫނާ ކޮމިޝަން (އައި.އޯ.ޓީ.ސީ) ގެ 28 ވަނަ އަހަރީ ބައްދަލުވުމުގައި ދިވެހިރާއްޖެއިން ބައިވެރިވެ، އިންޑިއާ ކަނޑުގެ ކަނޑުމަހުގެ މަސްވެރިކަން މެނޭޖްކޮށް ބެލެހެއްޓުމަށްޓަކައި މުހިންމު ޤަރާރުތަކެއްވަނީ ފާސްކޮށްފައެވެ. މިއަހަރުގެ ބައްދަލުވުމުގައި މަޝްވަރާކުރުމަށް 6 ގައުމަކުން ހުށަހެޅުނު 24 ހުށަހެޅުމެއް ހުށަހަޅާފައިވެއެވެ. މީގެ ތެރެއިން 16 ހުށަހެޅުމެއްވަނީ އައި.އޯ.ޓީ.ސީގެ މެމްބަރު 30 ގައުމުގެ އިއްތިފާގުން ފާސްކޮށްފައެވެ.

މިއަހަރުގެ ބައްދަލުވުމުގައިވެސް ކަނޑުމަހުގެ އާބާދީ ބަލަހައްޓައި ދެމެހެއްޓުމަށް ދިވެހިރާއްޖެއިން ބާރުއަޅާފައިވެއެވެ. މިގޮތުން ކުރެވުނު މަސައްކަތުގެ ތެރެއިން ލިބުނު އެންމެ ބޮޑު ކާމިޔާބީއަކީ އެތަށް އަހަރެއްގެ ހޫނު މަޝްވަރާއަށްފަހު، އިންޑިއާ ކަނޑުގައި ބޮޑުދަލުގެ މަސްވެރިކަންކުރާ އުޅަނދުތަކުން ބޭނުންކުރާ އޮޔާދާ ކަނދުފަތި (ޑްރިފްޓިން ފިޝް އެގްރިގޭޓިން ޑިވައިސަސް) ބޭނުންކުރުން މެނޭޖްކުރާނެ ޤަރާރެއް ފާސްކުރެވުމުވެ. މިޤަރާރުގެ ސަބަބުން ފުރަތަމަ ފަހަރަށް އިންޑިއާ ކަނޑުގައި ބޮޑުދަލުގެ މަސްވެރިކަންކުރާ އުޅަނދުތަކުން ބޭނުންކުރާ އޮޔާދާ ކަނދުފަތީގެ ދަފްތަރެއް ގާއިމްކުރެވި މިސަރަހައްދުގައި ބޭނުންކުރާ އޮޔާދާ ކަނދުފަތީގެ އަދަދު މޮނިޓަރކުރެވިގެންދާނެއެވެ. މީގެ އިތުރުން، ބޮޑުދަލުގެ މަސްވެރިކަންކުރާ އުޅަނދުތަކުން ކޮންމެ އުޅަނދަކަށް ދޫކުރެވޭނެ އޮޔާދާ ކަނދުފަތީގެ އަދަދުތަށް މަދުކޮށް އެކަމަށް ހަމައެއް ކަނޑައަޅައި، މިފަދަ އުޅަނދުތަކުން މަސްވެރިކަމުގެ އެފިޝަންސީ އިތުރުކުރުމަށް ބޭނުންކުރާ ސަޕްލައި އުޅަނދުތަކުގެ އަދަދު މަދުކޮށް، އިންޑިއާ ކަނޑުގައި އޮޔާދާ ކަނދުފަތި ބޭނުންކުރަމުންދާގޮތް ބެލެހެއްޓޭނެ ހާއްސަ ފިޔަވަޅުތަކަކަށް އެއްބަސްވެވިފައިވެއެވެ. ބޮޑުދަލުގެ މަސްވެރިކަމަކީ ކުދި ރީނދޫއުރަހަ ގިނައިން ބާނަމުންދާ މަސްވެރިކަމެކެވެ. އިންޑިއާ ކަނޑުގެ ރީނދޫއުރަހަ ކަންނެލީގެ އާބާދީ މިހާ ދަށްވެފައިވާ ދަނޑިވަޅުގައި މިފަދަ ޤަރާރެއް ފާސްކޮށް އެއަށް އަމަލުކުރަން ފެށުން ވެގެންދާނީ ރީނދޫއުރަހަ ކަންނެލީގެ އާބާދީ ރަނގަޅު ހާލަތަކަށް ގެނައުމަށް ލިބިގެންދާނެ ވަރަށްބޮޑު އެހީއަކަށެވެ. މިޤަރާރަކީ ދެކުނު އެފްރިކާ، އިންޑޮނީޝިއާ، ޕާކިސްތާން، ޔޫރަޕިއަން ޔޫނިއަން، ދެނުކު ކޮރެއާ، މޮރިޝަސް އަދި ސީޝެލްސްއިން އެއްކޮށް މަސައްކަތްކޮށް ދިވެހިރާއްޖެއިން ގައުމުތަކުގެ މެދުގައި ފެސިލިޓޭޓްކޮށްގެން ފާސްކުރެވުނު ޤަރާރެކެވެ. މިއީ ބައްދަލުވުމުގައި ހާސިލްކުރެވުނު އެންމެ ބޮޑު ކާމިޔާބީއެވެ.

މީގެއިތުރުން ކަޅުބިލަމަހުގެ މަސްވެރިކަން މެނޭޖްކުރުމަށް މެނޭޖްމެންޓް ޕްރޮސީޖަރއަކަށް އެއްބަސްވެވުމަކީވެސް މިއަހަރުގެ ބައްދަލުވުމުން ހާސިލްކުރެވުނު މުހިންމު ކާމިޔާބީއެކެވެ. ޔޫރިޕިއަން ޔޫނިއަންއާ ދިވެހިރާއްޖެއިން ސްޕޮންސަކޮށްގެން ހުށަހެޅި މިހުށަހެޅުމަކީ އެތައް އަހަރެއްގެ މަސައްކަތަށްފަހު ސަރަހައްދުގެ ކަމާބެހޭ ސައިންސްޓިސްޓުންނަށް އެއްބަސްވެވިގެން ކަޅުބިލަމަހުގެ އާބާދީ ދަށަށްނުދާނޭ ފަދަ މަސްވެރިކަމުގެ ހަމަތަކެއް ކަނޑައެޅުމަށް ބާރު ލިއްބައިދޭނެ މުހިންމު ވަސީލަތަކަށް ވެގެންދާނެއެވެ.

އިންޑިއާ ކަނޑުގެ މިޔަރުގެ އަބާދީ މެނޭޖްކޮށް ބެލެހެއްޓުމަށް ދިވެހިރާއްޖެއާއި ޕާކިސްތާންއާ ގުޅިގެން ހުށަހެޅި ހުށަހެޅުން މިއަހަރުގެ ބައްދަލުވުމުގައި ހުރިހާ މެންބަރު ގައުމުތަކުގެ އެއްބަސްވުން ލިބިފައިނުވާތީ ފާސްވެފައެއް ނުވެއެވެ. މި ހުށަހެޅުމުގެ ބޭނުމަކީ މަސްވެރިކަމުގައި ބޭނޭ މިޔަރުގެ އުރަހަ އެއްގަމަށްގެނެސް ކިރުވަންދެން އޭގެ ހަށިގަނޑުން ވަކިކުރުން މަނާކުރުމެވެ. މިހުށަހެޅުމުގެ ބޭނުމަކީ މިޔަރުގެ އުރަހަ ހަށިގަނޑުން ވަކިކޮށްފައި ހުންނަ އިރު އެމިޔަރުގެ ބާވަތް ދެނެގަތުމަށް އުދަގޫވުމާއި އެހެނިހެން ސަރަޙައްދީ ޖަމްއިއްޔާތަކުގައި މިޔަރު އާބާދީގެ މައުލޫމާތު ފުރިހަމަކުރުމަށް ބޭނުންކުރާ މިހަމަޔަކީ ދުނިޔެ ގަބޫލުކުރާ އެންމެ ރަނގަޅު ޕްރެކްޓިސް ކަމަށްވާތީއެވެ.

އައި.އޯ.ޓީ.ސީއަކީ އިންޑިއާ ކަނޑުގެ ކަނޑުމަހުގެ މަސްވެރިކަން ރާވައި، ހިންގައި، ބަލަހައްޓާ ސަރަހައްދީ ޖަމުއިއްޔާއެވެ. އިންޑިއާ ކަނޑުގެ އައްސޭރިފަށުގެ ގައުމުތަކުގެ އިތުރުން އިންޑިއާ ކަނޑުގައި މަސްވެރިކަންކުރާ ގައުމުތަށް ހިމެނޭހެން 29 ގައުމަކުން މިޖަމުއިއްޔާގައި ބައިވެރިވެއެވެ. ދިވެހިރާއްޖެއިން އައި.އޯ.ޓީ.ސީގެ މެންބަރަކަށްވީ 2011 ގައެވެ.

މިނިސްޓަރ އަޙްމަދު ޝިޔާމްގެ  އަރިހަށް ފްރާންސް ސަރުކާރުން ދިވެހިރާއްޖެއަށް ކަނޑައަޅުއްވާފައި ހުންނަވާ ސަފީރު ހިޒް އެކްސެލެންސީ ޖޯން-ފްރަންސުއާ ޕަކްތެތް މިއަދު އިޙްތިރާމުގެ ޒިޔާރަތެއް ކުރައްވައިފިއެވެ.

During the meeting, discussions centered around matters of mutual interest and cooperation between the two countries, including safeguarding the oceans and combating IUU fishing. the Maldives.

Minister Shiyam was accompanied at the meeting by Minister of State, Dr. Amzath Ahmed, Permanent Secretary, Dr. Aminath Shafia and Director, Munshida Ibrahim.

އިވެންޓަކީ ވޯލްޑް ޓޫނާ ކޮންފަރެންސާއި ގުޅުވައިގެން ކަނޑުމަހުގެ މަސްވެރިކަން ކުރާ މައިގަނޑު ގައުމުތަކާއި، މަސް ޕްރޮސެސްކޮށް އެކްސްޕޯޓްކުރާ މައިގަނޑު ގައުމުތައް ތަމްސީލްކުރާ މިނިސްޓަރުންނާއި މަސްވެރިކަމުގެ އިންޑަސްޓްރީ ތަމްސީލްކުރާ އިސް ފަރާތްތަކާއި ގުޅުންހުރި ޖަމްޢިއްޔާ ޖަމާޢަތްތައް ބައިވެރިކޮށްގެން ކަނޑުމަހުގެ މަސްވެރިކަމުގެ ސިނާޢަތް ދެމެހެއްޓެނިވި ގޮތެއްގައި ކުރިއަށްގެންދިއުމަށް އޮތް ގޮންޖެހުންތަކާއި މެދު މަޝްވަރާކޮށް އެކަމަށް އޮތް ހައްލުތައް ދެނެގަނެ އެކަށީގެންވާ ފިޔަވަޅުތަކެއް އެކަމަށްޓަކައި އެޅުމަށްބާރު އެޅުމުގެގޮތުން މިއަދު ބޭއްވުން ބައްދަލުވުމެކެވެ.

މީގެ އިތުރުން, މިނިސްޓަރގެ ވާހަކަފުޅުގައި، ދުނިޔޭގެ ކަނޑުމަހުގެ މަސްވެރިކަމަށް ނުވަތަ ޓޫނާ ފިޝަރީޒްއަށް އޮތް އެންމެ ބޮޑު ގޮންޖެހުމަކީ، އެއްވެސް ބެލެހެއްޓުމެއް ނެތި ހަރަކާތްތެރިވާ މަސްވެރި އުޅަނދުތަކުން ގަވާއިދާއި ޚިލާފަށް ކުރާ މަސްވެރިކަންކަމަށާއި އަދި މިކަން ހުއްޓުވުމަށް ގައުމުތަކުން އެކަށީގެންވާ ހަރުދަނާ ފިޔަވަޅުތަކެއް އަޅަން ޖެހޭ ކަމަށް ވަނީ ފާހަގަކުރައްވާފައެވެ. މިގޮތުން، ރާއްޖެފަދަ ކުދި ޖަޒީރާ ގައުމުތަކަށް އެގައުމުތަކުގެ ކަނޑުގެ ސަރަހައްދުތަކުގައާއި [ހައި ސީސް] ނުވަތަ ބޭރުކަނޑުގައި ގަވާއިދާ ޚިލާފަށް ކުރާ މަސްވެރިކަން މޮނިޓަރކޮށް އެކަން ހުއްޓުވުމަށް ބޮޑެތި ޚަރަދުތަކެއް ކުރަމުންދާކަމަށާއި ނަމަވެސް މިކަން ކާމިޔާބުވާނީ ހުރިހާ ގައުމުތަކެއް ގުޅިގެން މިފަދަ ފިޔަވަޅުތަކެއް އެޅި، ސިނާޢަތުގައި ހަރަކާތެރިވާ އެންމެހާ މަސްލަހަތުވެރިންގެ ބައިވެރިވުމާއި އެހީތެރިކަން މިކަމުގައި ލިބިގެންކަމަށް ވަނީ ފާހަގަކުރައްވާފައެވެ.

Minister Ahmed Shiyam participated in the Ministerial and Industry High-Level Dialogue on Sustainable Tuna Fisheries on the sidelines of the Infofish World Tuna Trade Conference and Exhibition.

The minister spoke about the importance of breaking down barriers to market access for tuna products from developing countries, particularly for small-scale fisheries. Minister noted, "Maldives and other developing states have to compete with large industrial fleets, and we are failing miserably. It is high time that we join hands and work collaboratively to create a level playing field, ensuring equitable opportunities for all stakeholders in the global tuna trade."

The minister also highlighted the impacts of illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing, particularly from foreign fishing fleets. Minister said, "This notorious practice undermines the livelihoods of countless fishers and coastal communities. It also undermines the efforts of responsible fishers, particularly in coastal states like the Maldives, where we have made several sacrifices to ensure that the sustainable culture of fishing is maintained through

generations." Minister Ahmed Shiyam, also noted the government's ongoing activities to strengthen more, ring, and surveillance and tighten the fisheries framework to combat IUU fishing.

Ministers and high-ranking representatives from the significant tuna-producing and exporting tuna nations, the industry, and international organizations participated in the dialogue.

Minister Shiyam and senior officials of the Ministry met with the Chinese ambassador to the Maldives, Wang Lixin, and the senior official’s delegation from the Department of Ocean and Fisheries Resources of Fujian Province, China. They exchanged discussions on the development of fisheries and ocean resources in Maldives.

The Fujian Province of China is renowned for being one of the country's leading regions in the fisheries and aquaculture sectors. During the meeting, Minister Shiyam expressed interest in collaborating on capacity building, mariculture, and exploratory fishing to enhance our skills and knowledge in the industry and boost the economy as envisioned by President H.E Dr. Mohamed Muizzu

The minister also noted the government's priorities to transform the Maldives fisheries processing sector and welcomed Chinese investments.
